It’s hard to believe that our Heavy Medal Book List discussions are over and that the Heavy Medal mock winner will be determined ONE WEEK from today!
And the actual Newbery medalist and honors on January 27. With all this fun ahead, we have a few reminders of what to watch for on Heavy Medal:
- First and foremost- Thanks to everyone, committee members and loyal readers for the fabulous discussion. YOU ROCK! (and keep it coming)
- The HMAC members are currently voting on a top five which will be announced Monday January, 20th. These five titles will be used in the Zoom discussion and from there a winner will be decided for the HMAC Mock winner and the Zoom viewers poll winner.
- The Heavy Medal Reader’s poll goes live on Tuesday, January 21st and is open to all Newbery eligible titles.
- Steven and I will post our award predictions on Wednesday January, 22nd and would love to hear from you as well!
- Our Heavy Medal live webcast. “What’s It Really Like? Join the 2025 Mock Newbery LIVE!”
